U3A Pakuranga, New Zealand

From Peter Fisher, Secretary of U3A Pakuranga
Kia ora, and Greetings from Pakuranga U3A. We are located about 15 km (9 miles) south east of Auckland city in New Zealand.

Membership: Founded in 1996, we now have over 180 members. We meet once a month to listen to a guest speaker, and one or two of our members also give short talks.

Study Groups: We offer over 30 study groups. Most of these meet in members' homes once a month. The groups include Asia Pacific Studies, Book Circle, Art Appreciation, World War 2, Poetry and Playreading, Maori Studies, The Renaissance, Classical Music, The Sea, Philosophy, Craft groups, World Affairs, Mah Jong, and Stories of the Past.

My personal comment: Kiwis (New Zealanders) like to travel. Myu3a.org offers a wonderful opportunity for U3A members to make international contacts. Pakuranga U3A would welcome visitors to this part of the world !
