The end of our current year will no doubt be problematical as after
6 years most of our officers are retiring and recruits for the positions
of secretary, treasurer etc have to be found. Finding group leaders
is always a problem as the locality from which we recruit suffered from
the closure of the coalmines which was a major employer in the area
as was the textile trade. Now most working people depend on the nearby
city for employment with Nottinghams one and only Tram service
connecting Hucknall with the city centre.
